ARNE HALL, CRAIGSIDE, LLANDUDNO111 views"Arne Hall was built in mock Tudor style for the famous Tate and Lyle sugar family in about 1880, at a time when Llandudno was just being developed as an important seaside resort. With commanding views across Llandudno bay it was the first major building at Craigside and was originally called Summerhill. The legend has it that one of the wives of the family used to watch out with a telescope, from the tower, for their sugar boats on their way into Liverpool from the West Indies."

HOTEL 70 DEGREES, COLWYN BAY109 viewsThe Colwyn Bay Hotel (formerly Hotel 70 Degrees) enters its final days in 2006 after permission was granted for demolition and replacement by apartments. The building was a local landmark, both due to its trendy 70s angled design and the fact that it is perched upon the top of a cliff overlooking Colwyn Bay.

INTERIOR WOOLWORTHS, MOSTYN STREET, LLANDUDNO 24-12-200899 viewsThe pitiful remains of the once mighty Woolworths empire are picked over by bargain hunters in the Llandudno store. Even the shelving units themselves are disappearing as they are sold off, with the remaining shelves full of dusty & ancient stock retrieved from the depths of the storeoom. Sad to see it end this way.

PENMORFA HOTEL LLANDUDNO 200797 viewsRear of the former Penmorfa/Gogarth Abbey Hotel at West Shore, Llandudno. It was originally a holiday home for the Liddell family, whose daughter, Alice, was the inspiration for Alice's Adventures In Wonderland and it is often suggested that Lewis Carroll was inspired to write the book after staying here.
