I'm not sure if it does or not Steve but the groyne is not very long and I would have thought that it would be a lot longer if it was getting rid of the nasty stuff.
There are a number of these groynes on the beach and they need them to stabilise the sand.    The current there goes from west to east and the Starfish were mainly on the western side of the groyne so they could have drifted there in the current.

I've just seen two of the Apache Helicopters flying past in an easterly direction.   They were flying over the sea and quite low too but I didn't realise that they were Apache Helicopters until it was too late to take a photo.
They were much quieter than the Chinooks that passed by a couple of weeks ago.

The weather is pretty rough up here on the Heights.    Storm Doris has coincided with the bin day and litter is all over the place and bits of trees have fallen all the way down the hill.
A large tree has fallen in Pen Y Bryn Road and blocked the road.

Just looked out of my window and the sea looks quite rough and the wind has not started to die down yet so I'm staying put today.

Colwyn Bay Pier has suffered further damage in the storm
Things are never so bad that they can't get worse.

I never said it was your fault; I said I was blaming you.

Apart from the health question I picked up on the cost of two million pounds for a new football pitch, ?

New Parc Eirias football pitch sparks cancer fears

The pitch is being developed following a cash boost of more than 2 million from Conwy Council and the Welsh Government.

Fears have been raised the new 3G football pitch at Parc Eirias, in Colwyn Bay, could cause cancer.
Artificial 3G pitches are created by inserting synthetic grass-like blades into a thin base layer of sand.

New car park at Parc Eirias
Work will start on the construction of the new car park at Parc Eirias on Monday (27/03/17).
The new car park will be mainly for visitors attending sport, business and recreation events at Parc Eirias; it will offer parking spaces for cars, coaches, motorcycles and bicycles.
The work will be carried out by Llysfaen-based Jennings Civil Engineers and Building Contractors, and is expected take about 16 weeks. RefDP

Hi Steve,  I had an e-mail from a friend two weeks ago and he said that the plans for the new Council building in Coed Pella Road Colwyn Bay have changed and as a result they are no longer going to build an underground car park on the site.
He said that the new car park at Parc Eirias is for the staff and visitors for the new Council Offices but that seems strange as the two places are  some distance apart.        ???

I seem to remember the new offices will require 700 staff ?  Fun and games all round then.

Soon be as bad as Llandudno, and I do sympathise with the residents, I have just remembered, this new build is taking away a large car park, so the problem is worse than I thought.

Or the CCBC version, "park and taken for a ride".
