Everything to do with Shops
« on: September 03, 2010, 07:52:35 pm »
I noticed today that a new Pet Shop had opened in the Victoria Centre, Llandudno. Its next to the pictures place, so only a tiny unit, can it sell enough stuff to survive, because the rents aren't cheap in that place!  :o

I'm going to say Fish Tram Chips because they take so long you can have a beer in the King's Head while you wait. Well worth the wait though.
;D Has anyone been to Gardners lately?

I wonder what will happen to the Vic Centre when Boots in Parc Llandudno gets the pharmacy go-ahead?

I think they'll keep it open. Still a good location for them.

To switch the subject to shops, I notice that the old style sweet shop which opened with a big fanfare earlier in the year (Captain Bertollas thread in the old forum), well its closed today and has every sign of being closed for good. As forecasted by several forum members

The Bike Hire shop has been selling off all their bikes for the last couple of weeks, as well. So  much for them being the saviours of Llandudno business. ££$

Does anyone know if "The Good Life" fruit and veg people are setting up anywhere else in town. I was in there just before they closed and caught the end of a conversation about them having another location either already or in mind.

As I understand it, they are turning the fruit & veg shop into a mens barbers and running that.  They are also still renting their old location around the corner in Bodhyfryd road, maybe they intend to reopen that as the fruit and veg shop.
