Unless I was dreaming...I passed through Colwyn Bay yesterday and there was a new shop opening at the top of Penrhyn Road (in the old Boots/Maplin/Carphone Warehouse shop)...and its Laura Ashley.

What next, a branch of Selfridges opening in Rhyl?

Laura Ashley’s share price is down 70% in the last 6 months.
Rather than opening stores, they’ve been issuing profit warnings and closing them.

Only half true then Dave ;)
This showroom isn't actually being opened by Laura Ashley but a Company from Rhyl called Just Kitchens & Bedrooms who sell fitted Kitchens, Bathrooms & Bedrooms, under the banner of Laura Ashley made by the Symphony Group. I have been looking into buying a Laura Ashley Kitchen for when I move house and they are very good quality, so this showroom opening in Colwyn Bay has come at a good time for me  ;D

Dave R will apologise soon.

However, I went to the Just Kitchens showroom in Rhyl, it was very impressive, I’m glad they are expanding and I want them to revamp a bedroom for me.  Wierd shape, full design required.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but Greenwood’s has GONE from Mostyn Street.

I know it survived the Administrative cull, but it has relocated now, to Victoria Centre.
I didn’t know this was planned, did anyone else ?

Another gaping hole in a premium spot on our High Street.

This is what Waitrose had to say about expansion hopes in North Wales.

That's a real shame - a quality food retailer like that would have been an ideal replacement for M&S on Mostyn Street.
