Treated myself to Fish (cod) and Chips at Frydays in Penrhryn Bay this evening.  Nice clean pleasant shop with a small (20 seater) dining room that cannot be viewed from the Counter sales area.

Not over impressed with the result of my purchase.  Batter was nice and thin but falling off the fish so could have done with a bit more substance to it.   Chips were big and chunky but the size resulted in some of them being undercooked.  Pleasant staff, prices may shock a few of the Senior Citizens who live in the area.

Only two choices of fish, Cod or Haddock - I prefer Plaice or Skate.

As the 'plaice' has only been open since last Friday I will let them get up to speed before I try again.   Wonder if they will start serving deep fried Mars Bars?    _))*

 ££$ to them.

Back in beautiful Llandudno after many months overseas.
On Sunday I had a walk along the pier. It was packed with happy people.
I see the gulls are still mugging people for their chips.
One sour note. I had a £1.80 coffee sitting on the end of the pier. I think it was the most horrible
"coffee" I have had in my life, God knows what they make it from!
Still, it is wonderful to be back! You don't know how lucky you are living here.

I couldn't agree more. It's terrible quality, I prefer to walk back into town to get a coffee rather than get one from the Pierhead cafe.  :(

£1.80!!! Must be mad. If it tasted delightful I'd still be annoyed at that price :o

B2R... unless you go into Weatherspoons, (£1.59 I believe), you will be hard pressed to find a coffee anywhere for less than £1.80.

Half the stuff they class as coffee is like warm water to me! I'd rather walk home!---or take a flask! ;D Very strong and black, looks like tar !

Excellent coffee, Cappicino, Latte etc at £1.35 at Cafe Dewi,  St David's Hospice.  Plenty of well known people gather there!    ;D

After a couple of beers with Fester, I've just walked past Caffe Nero and its still open - what time do they close?

Also workmen were still busy in Sainsburys.

A typical Llandudno street scene. The Silver Peugeot in the foreground of your photo (which seems to be displaying a disability permit) apart how many cars can you spot illegally parking.

Possibly only one, because the others are moving I think.
I know what you are DRIVING at though, I have never known a town like it for double parking.
Particularly in Upper Mostyn St.  Its dangerous coming down there most days.

Fester and I paid a late afternoon visit to Caffe Nero today. I had a Earl Grey and Fester had a Cappucino. I also had the Meatball Panini, which was excellent. It was very pleasant sitting on the sofas in the window watching the world go past. In fact, we were so relaxed that we ordered another round of drinks so we could stay there longer.  $good$

Work is also well underway to gut the interior of the former Clarence Hotel prior to its conversion into a Travelodge:
