Sorry Wrex just meant specifically the darts room in the back.

The Snowdon in general is ok, I've only been in less than a handful of times since 'the refurb'
I used to like it a lot better 10 years ago when the place had a jukebox, pool tables and some characters in it.
Last time I went was a Saturday night  thissummer, around 7pm and we were the only ones in there.

Plus, The Snowdon has a great little Darts room in the back.

What's great about it? Serious question

A nice throw, no interruptions, a great practice environment...... you need to use it!

Thought the whole point of pubs was the social element - not some little cavern in the back where you can play alone.
I'd rather stat at home.

I thought a Pub was to cater for all, not just drinkers, darts players, pool or whatever.  Mind you, I only ever visit a Pub to eat, which in Llandudno has so far been limited to The Albert and The Kings Head!   I can't see the sense in standing at a bar swigging down 6 or more pints of flavoured water!

Yes Wrex, before you say it, I would ban all pubs!   :D :D :D  L0L

You must be kidding! In Llandudno it isn't hard to find a pub that does food, there are very few that don't, I can only think of the Snowden off the top of my head that doesn't do any

If you read my comment properly, what I am saying is that they are the only ones I have been to!  I haven't tried any others, and as yet have no intention of doing so.

I am never amazed how quick one is criticised on this forum, and by that I mean others as well as myself.

A body will continue to remain in a criticising state until compelled by an outside force to change that state.   :D

I walked past the old Cadwaladars shop today and noticed that it has now been fitted out as a cafe.

We tried the Cafe 121 for a change today. This was partly because it looked quite attractive with the big windows and the nice decor but also because we couldn't find the oatcake shop. I could have sworn that the forum had told me it was on Upper Mostyn street. Is it?
I only had a hot chocolate but Mr Hollins had the fish chips and peas which came very well presented. For him the fish was a bit small but for me it would have been perfect. He said the chips and the peas were particularly good.
I would have preferred it if the orders were taken at the table rather than at the counter and the design of the interior whilst attractive would have been nicer with fresh plants on the tables rather than the plastic ones.
Lovely place to sit and watch the world go by from the huge windows. Saw the council workmen busy planting masses of wallflowers on the roundabout.

The point about table service is a good one, they seem to have more than enough staff to be able to handle it.

It also seems to get very warm inside on a sunny day, even at this time of year, and there can be a lot of glare in the afternoon if you sit by the window. The large glass windows could perhaps do with some sort of blinds fitting.
