Hello Wrex, you are right about the car parks but the snag is that most of them would be on the other side of a very wide road. I still maintain that only a trickle of people walk past the travel lodge.

Now Wrex ! A foot count would depend on what time of day that it was done !

Another point......now that Nigel Roberts has gone ,early, leaving everyone in the mire with regards to bread orders etc, Vollams is no more, it leaves whatever shop unit goes in the Travelodge open to get in there with Lottery, papers, sweets and general 'holiday buys', not counting the locals who used to go there for papers, cigs, bread etc . Unless someone takes over the existing newsagents as is.

I must agree that Nigel Roberts closing has altered the whole situation with the Travel lodge unit. If I could I would probably take back every post I have written about this subject!!! I would have thought that Nigel after years of being at this spot would have been excitedly waiting for a bonanza for papers etc off the travel lodge customers.
Obviously not. Being, I hope, a friend, if only from the last two or three years, I hope the fairly sudden departure has got nothing to do with the publicity  surrounding Oscar

p.s. I hope somebody is planning on building new public toilets in Llandudno because given the amount of coffee that's been produced there these days there must be an imminent risk of flooding.

And while they are at it, fix the disabled access to the toilets on bog island,  how long has that lift been out of action? I was supporting someone in a wheelchair recently and it seemed to have seized up, hardly convenient for a great many visitors I would have thought

Is there a more impressive setting to sit and enjoy a drink?  We are truly blessed.

Sinatra's is part of Characters and hopes to be up and running very soon. I was also told that Nigel's old shop is also being considered for a Coffee Shop/cafe

Congratulations to the Ty Asha Balti House in Llanwrst, which has been voted the top place in North Wales to have a curry, in a poll of Daily Post readers.

To celebrate National Curry week the Daily Post asked its readers to nominate the best curry house in North Wales. The 10 with the most nominations were then put on Daily Post's Facebook page, where people had to vote for the overall King of the Curry.

Ty Asha Balti House won with 814 votes when the deadline closed on Wednesday, October, 21 at 12pm.

When I was younger there used to be a saying that the people of Llandudno must have three legs because there were so many shoe shops in the town.  That needs updating to the people of Llandudno must have three mouths given the increasingly bizarre number of cafes/coffee shops.
