Growing up in a small Staffordshire village in the late 1950's and 1960's, it was all my parents could afford and I grew up thinking that Camp was 'coffee'. My parents used to make it with (sterilised) milk. I don't even know if you can get sterilised milk anymore....

Sterilised milk and Camp coffee :P

Nearly as revolting as free school milk that had been on a hot radiator until mid morning on a icy  &shake& day.  &shake&

PS You can see steri on many a step in the potteries

I had a lovely Birthday meal with eight friends, in the Kings Head, last night. Every one of us had a really enjoyable food and it was clean plates all round.  ZXZ

My wife and her friend had a nice lunch at the Toad the other day but she said that parking nearby was a problem.   Luckily they found a space or otherwise would have had to drive on to somewhere else to have something to eat.    The work on the Promenade and the new one way system has certainly had an adverse effect on their trade and I feel sorry for the business as they had a similar problem a few years ago when building work was going on all around them.
The Skip on the other hand has many parking spaces and is only slightly inconvenienced by the promenade being closed.

A post I saw on Facebook, regarding the new £1 coffee shop....  brilliantly sarcastic, (I hope??)

'More coffee shops is exactly what Llandudno needs...and charity shops...and pound shops.

What about a charity shop where every item is £1 and you can buy coffee, that's what's needed, lots of those'

Noticed yesterday that a Greek Taverna seems to have sprung from nowhere above Mango and Bamboo. Think it used to be some kind of Forces Club, but I can't think which.

It's been Jack's Club and various other things in recent years.
I was chatting in broken English to the guy they have brought over from Greece to be the chef.
The actual owner has talked about opening such a place as long as I've known him (local taxi driver), but not he seems to have gone and done it!
