Mike's Llandudno Orme Cup
« on: April 02, 2012, 01:33:36 pm »
It's proposed to host a fun-filled golf competition on Mike's very own course for the members of the three towns forum.  Vote in the poll above this post and let us all known what you think below.

Personally I think it's a good idea of Yorkies.

I think it was Paddy that came up with the idea originally. $good$

Not me mate - I woz in Nick at the time , so it couldn't 'ave bin me!     L0L

I'll have to dig my clubs out and give 'em a good clean.

I think any competition should be made a "Two Club" contest - a putter and one other club - after all it is only a pitch and putt course!    ZXZ

count me in , how about putting a price on it and give the money raised to the local hospice, I'm sure that would encourage a few more players , ladies included, it could be the start of an annual get together.

Count me in... subject to working commitments.... or I will send Mrs Fester if I'm unavailable.

I would advocate a fiver a person, most going to Mike... (business is business) ... and part contribution to St David's?

Thanks, Fester, for thinking about my empty pockets.   But, no, the grass grows at the same speed if one golfer is here or 100. So I prefer to see 100. Now the forum members are, with one or two honourable exceptions, not regulars. So I am perfectly happy for them all to come up for free. A contribution to any charity, well, thats a different matter and I'll keep out of that discussion.   Mike

Very noble of you Mike but I think that at the very least it should be down to you to pick a date and time when you don't expect the course to be busy with paying golfers.

Judging by the people offering to provide refreshments there could be a picnic on every tee and I'd hate for the forum members to annoy your regulars with our slow play!

Slow play? I should think we’ll be pretty quick in the golf buggies provided, perhaps one free beer cart per coupling may slow things down a tad but we’ll make up for that with a shorter buffet break for lunch. I presume the caddies will know the course and be doing our bunker raking and we should have time for a few more beers in the club house before the 5 course dinner and cup presentation, all in all not bad for a fiver....hey what!  ZXZ
