I was wondering Mike, did you actually make a profit with this venture?

Yes, Trojan, I certainly did. But----before anyone gets the wrong idea----it was a lot of work, quite a bit of it done in the evening printing out leaflets etc.     Having said that, I paid out virtually NIL wages. I doubt whether anyone could make a go of it employing someone to run it. Not least because, and not wishing to blow my own trumpet, no employee would go around shaking hands, clapping when someone got a good putt etc.etc.

I've been away for a couple of days, but on my return I find that Mike ''birdseyeviewofwales''  has meta-morphasised, into ORMEGOLF !

Was this done Doctor Who style?   Did he have to have a tearful demise, followed by a rising Phoenix style into a new physical form??

We went to the viewing point on Anglesea Road yesterday afternoon and rather than tackle the slippy roads on the way back we decided to walk through Mike's golf course.  I can report that Mike's course is playing Winter Greens at the moment and Flurescent Orange Balls will be required to play all of the golf holes!

I WISH TO POINT OUT THAT THERE IS A CHARGE FOR WALKING OVER THIS GOLF COURSE. However (in a nice voice) seeing as I stuck a direction sign on your wall all summer, I'll forget it for you Mike

You should be levying a charge for SLEDGING down it pal!

You would be raking it in at the moment.

I must admit there is something really comforting (Spring must finally be here) in hearing the the sound today of Mike's Land Rover and trailer  rattling it's way up the Orme, past the house and onto the Golf Course. Welcome back Mike.

I'm relatively new here, and perhaps pleased by simple things, but any indication that spring is coming with the lighter evenings and less windy times is definitely something to be looked forward to.

It certainly is.  :)

I love the summer evenings when it stays light until after 10pm.
