Llandudno Beach Clean Up
« on: January 09, 2018, 04:19:26 pm »
Walking along the prom in to town today I noticed lots of coloured plastic balls of the sorts you see in bouncy castles  on the beach opposite the Four Oaks Hotel.
It gave me an idea. How about a forum meet up and a walk along the beach to clear away as much plastic and rubbish as we can find?
Anyone interested?

That's a good idea Dave and you can count me in, there's a lot of stuff on the beach towards the Little Orme too.    Fester collected a black bin bag full when he had a go a short while ago.     $good$

Don't ask me to clear up any windblown sand on the West Shore though.     ;D

I would propose trying to cover the length of the beach although looking at the shape of it at the moment the flat bit where things are most like washed up ( I would have thought) is fairly narrow for much of the length of the prom.

Well that's 4 for a start . Anyone else fancy a stroll along the beach?
Tides look to be favourable this week, and the weather is OK too.
How about Friday? Meet at the lifeboat station at say 11.00am?

Dave,  I'm sorry but on Friday i'm going to a funeral of a friend and former work colleague in Llanddeiniolen and won't be able to make it.  Any other time and it would normally be ok

What shall we do, stick to Friday or wait until next week ? The tides are starting to get in the way though.
I'm on holiday after that.

Time and tide wait for no man Dave so you should go for it on Friday and if you decide to do another one then I'll be there circumstances permitting.
Good luck with everything.    $good$
