I had the pleasure to bump into blongb again today, fresh back from his holidays.
He confirmed from his contacts that there are many hotels with availability for the Extravaganza weekend.

A friend has the First Extravaganza recorded on a VHS. video. He would like to have it transferred onto a DVD. Anyone know who could do it ?

I do believe that ther is a small interface you can buy to connect the Video player to your computer and transfer the information and make DVD's.  Have a look on Maplin's web site or even Amazon.   ££$

 Just had a look at some of the hotels on your list Brumbob and they only have the odd single room so thats why they are still coming up as vacancies.Had a look at one small guest house with 5 rooms and they have one room spare but you have to stay 5 nights, fair do;s .The extravaganza may get no credit or thanks but a lot of people make the most. Quiggs, if your friend doesn't want to do it himself, Jessops will do it.
