I was visiting some friends in Woodstock last weekend, they have this amazing work in glass, made in the Sixties by Whitefriars. it's on display in their shop.

That is interesting ME. I dare not think what that might be worth when you think what a small 1960's glass vase by Whitefriars makes.
Is it a shop selling 60's items?
When we bought our 60's house I had a lovely time finding things to go with it from that era.
Here are a couple of plaques that I bought on ebay. The one with horses is ceramic and was made in West Germany. The other one is fused glass and I'm not sure which era it is from but I think it has "the look."

They both look great! The shop is  http://www.rwfco.com/  The Real Wood Furniture Company in Woodstock, Oxfordshire. We used to work several hours a week there. An amazing place to visit!
I collect Whitefriars when I can find it at the right price! See photo!

Do you find them at car boot sales? They look great grouped by colour and a few together like that.

The small blue vase was from EBay and the rest at car boot sales, I rarely see them these days! The colours are so good when held to the light!

They are amazing and don't the Daily Mail almost always have superb photos to accompany their articles?

There are some good examples of this type of art at Plas Newydd on Anglesey, inside the building, of course!

The Rex Whistler murals are wonderful to see at Plas Newydd but more remarkable for me were the drawings in the glass cases that he made when he was a child.

Not much else of great interest at Plas Newydd apart from the Dining Room but we still enjoy visiting and generally also patronise the Cafe which has always been very enjoyable.  :D
