Workmen were boarding up the front of the Clarence Hotel yesterday afternoon. Has work stopped because CCBC have still not provided the necessary paperwork for the main job to start?

I am a really reasonable, balanced person, but this enrages me so much. The mind absolutely boggles at why this has not be processed quicker. Does the planning department want another Tudno Castle? These companies are spending money in Llandudno, which they can spend easily enough elsewhere and they aren't charities. I'd probably think 'sod the lot of you!'.

I hope this gets sorted quickly! It's a shame councillors these days aren't allowed to read the riot act with officers. If they were to they would probably be reported to the Ombudsman and be made to undergo some ritual humiliation and be barred from holding public office for life. Either way, someone needs to get their a*** seriously into gear!

Bodhyfrid road has been re-opened to traffic this morning.
Looks like CCCB has struck again.

I have asked our AM, Janet Finch-Saunders, to take a look at this matter; it is not acceptable for major investors in the town to be treated like this.

Old Abbey now owned by Jews.

Perhaps they want to keep an eye on the West Shore Arabs on the CCTV.

Clarence hotel today - boarded up and deserted. Well done CCBC for ensuring we have this eyesore for a little longer!

I presume it is CCBC and not simply that the folk drilling the hole have found something nasty and have gone away to report that the rebuild is probably unviable?

The contractors say they can do more until the paperwork from CCBC comes though. The crux is that they need permission to demolish the detached garage at the rear - until that is demolished, they cannot access the rear of the hotel to begin work properly.
