When not in use I would think anybody can use it but I am not the one to ask.

In the winter, the bowling green is used for winter bowling.

In the summer, if I wanted to play bowls I would probably want to pay to play on the other bowling green which is in a far better condition.

Hello born2run. Must just point out that the grass at the west shore is a putting green, not a crazy golf. We are very picky people, us golf operators!!

but nice new no dog signs all along the prom, now that money wasted on them signs could have paid for a gardener for a few months.Maybe the Town council should cut the grass.

Prom was really packed today. Odd how Six Piers didn't bother to open most of their kiosks at the pier entrance:

Still on theme, the wind farm. I think the visual development of the two fields, which has gone on for around five years, has now been completed.
This evening from Colwyn Bay prom I spotted the four legged construction boat which has been erecting the masts virtually every day for the last five years. It was far away in the distance heading, I suppose, north west in the general direction of Northern Ireland provided it carries on in a straight line.
I think the last of the masts is in place. If so, goodbye.
Now you can look and see the final view.
N my opinion, what an enormous fuss about a serene sight.   Mike

Mike, beauty (or the lack of it) is in the eye of the beholder, as always.

I have to say that I think the entire skyline and horizon has been ruined by the windfarm, and in my humble opinion it looks like an industrial eyesore.

I note that the turbines are usually edited out of any aesthetic view of Llandudno Bay, nor will you see them on any calendars.
Why might that be, if they are so 'serene'?

It amazes me that money has been found to drill holes in paving stones all over town in which to insert these Alice plaques, whilst just yards away, the areas of shrubbery have not been touched this year, full of weeds nearly 2 feet high.  &shake&

Noticed the following in Waterstones Bookshop a few weeks ago. It would seem that accuracy is not their strong point:

A sea mist spent most of the afternoon trying (and failing) to roll into central Llandudno. I went up onto the Orme to get some photos, this is looking down at West Shore/Conwy Estuary from up above the mist:
