What's the current situation with the Camera Obscura? I've visited Llandudno at many different times of the year and have yet to find it open or any information displayed showing potential opening times.

Apparently it is open on Tuesdays from 10.00 until 4.00p.m

A reminder that the majority of the Prom is closed to traffic today for the Tour of Britain race, diversions are in place.

Also wise to avoid the Trefriw side of the river (B5106) between Llanrwst and Conwy town from about 1400 today. The tour will be making its way from Llangernyw (speed trial to Ty Gwyn) to Llanrwst at about 1400, where the tour will effectively close the A470 as it crosses the river.

Extra care needed anywhere in town, coaches seem to be just stopping anywhere and dropping people off. Plus traffic from the diversion in place on the prom.

I also wondered if the middle of Llandudno has moved across the Atlantic ...

Some of the views on TV of Llandudno, Conwy and the Conwy Valley were spectacular.

Many CCBC workmen were busy removing the traffic island between the Baytree and the Pier Gardens last week... and I suspect it was to ensure there were no obstacles for the Cycle race.  I say this because the zebra crossing stripes are still on the road.
If I'm right, I expect to see diggers, workmen and materials to re-implement it in the next few days.

If I am correct..... then WHO IS PAYING FOR THIS?
