Yeah--- Dark, wet and nasty.

Hope it is better tomorrow-we have umpteen hand knitted blankets to sell.

I love the Llandudno fayre, got some good stuff last year (some glass jewellery boxes were v. nice) and I didn't even mind it was right on my doorstep (former Madoc Street resident).

Shame about the weather mind, hope it brightens up this weekend/next week.
After all what is time, a mere tyranny.

CCBC will not allow Llandudno to have a sandy beach,CCBC will not allow Llandudno town council to put xmas lights on OUR victorian lamposts along Mostyn st and of course CCBC as we know would not allow the bus stop on the West Shore to be used as a cafe-shop,i think its about time Cll Graham Rees got his A*** down to Llandudno and start addressing Our problems.

Seriously Wrex, if I were you I would move to  Blackpool, you would have a more relaxing existance and enough lights to keep you going for life!   ZXZ

I have just spent a couple of days in Manchester, and you NEED two full days to do the Xmas market justice.
It is excellent, and there are some fantastic vendors again this year.
It is about 30 times the size of the Llandudno Fayre,  Oh, and you don't have to pay £1 to get in just to get to the stalls, which I think is disgusting in Llandudno.

I agree.  That charge for so very little has deterred us for two years.

What justification can there be for that £1 charge, I wonder? The Organiser already receives a tidy sum for each Stall that participates, the £1 charge just reeks of greed.  &shake&

It does bring in lots of shoppers ,tourists so i support it,although i went this morning and was not impressed but as you know it would be hard to get my approval.Who runs the show im not quite sure but there has to be massive expense hiring all the tents and cabins, generators etc for only 4 days use, like though there has to be 20 coaches in just for the xmas fayre

Hate to tell you, but it isn't £1.00 this year. It is £1.50. :o

Yes, it's £1.50. There's a notice by the entrance kiosk, saying it is organised by Llandudno Development Partnership and no council or individual receives the proceeds.

What I don't understand is, given every stallholder pays a hefty amount to attend the event, why any entrance fee needs to be charged? Where is all the money going?

I don't believe that to be true. It would be the first year if that were the case.
Who is the person who controls the entry to the tent?, and who's is the very FIRST stall you must see before moving on?
Has this changed from previous years?

I have no interest in it even if it was free, let alone £1.50, but then I am known as Scrooge!  I*
