Personally a big fan of the Albion for a pint and a bit of crack, if I'm meeting relatives in Conwy, best place to go for drink and catch up in my mind - while sampling local beers.

Nothing really like that in Llandudno. There's the Great Orme Brewery, which is decent but hardly convenient.

I'm just selfish, I basically want the Red Lion in Old Colwyn to move to Llandudno (my favourite boozer).

Red lion is brilliant - however it's brilliant because it's in Old Colwyn. If it was in Llandudno it would be rubbish!

Aside from the beer ! ;D

The town centre is somewhat chaotic as the traffic crossing lights between Peacock's and the Sainsbury Store have been totally removed leaving temporary lights and a load of wet mess that everyone is wading about in. The traffic keeps building up, so I hope that the job will soon be finished !

Born2Run, I have given your post some thought, and whilst I agree with both your comments - in that the Red Lion is brilliant, and I doubt that it would work the same in Llandudno, however, I'm at a lost as to be able to explain why I don't think it would work, apart from the demographics of clientele. But I'd be rather interested to hear your rationale?

To be fair, Llandudno and it's pier were as busy as I've ever seen it, maybe more so, this last 2 days.
It does usually seem to be focused on the noon til 4pm time frame, but this week I can't close my shop before 7.30pm.
It's nice to see, but I'm too old to be working 9 hours a day, 7 days a week!

I am told Tesco are looking at ground floor tenancy of Tudno Castle with plans to open a Tesco Extra/Express there. Money from that will then be used to renovate rest of the building. Not had it confirmed... Colleagues looking into it.
After all what is time, a mere tyranny.

I was amazed to see that CCBC had chosen the busiest week of the year to get contractors to paint the Prom Shelters and seats...

Visitors should be spending money in the shops, not sitting on the Prom enjoying themselves !!!

Bit surprised CCBC haven't fitted turnstiles to the shelter, yet...  :-X
