I saw that a couple of times this morning in Llandudno.

I also noticed it did not have CCBC on its sides.

Maybe CCBC are thinking of buying one, a demo run?  after all they have plenty of money to spare....,

Perhaps they are in a position to negotiate a good purchase price on the hottest day of the year in Llandudno.  D)

Happens every year.
My youngest son works for Amey who have the contract for Hampshire and Berkshire has been driving snow ploughs down there for the past 2 days.
Checking all the equipment is in working order and ready to go, also revising gritting routes.

Soon be October and stand by for an early cold snap.

Who would be first to complain if they were not ready for it ?

MV Balmoral

Despite valiant efforts by the ship's crew and the lads at the landing stage, conditions meant the Balmoral could not berth at Llandudno Pier today, so the sailings for the rest of the day have been cancelled.

The 1300 sailing on Saturday 17th round Puffin Island and down Menai Strait should go ahead as planned. (back 1600)

Other sailings are:

Sunday 18th - 1400 cruise towards Point Lynas (back 1630)

Monday 19th - 1430 cruise to Menai Bridge (back 1730)

Tuesday 20th - 1030 cruise round Anglesey via Menai Bridge and Caernarfon.  (Last North Wales sailing of the season) (back 1800)

Thanks for posting that Cambrian, I went to Llandudno today to have a look at the boat.  It was a lovely day for the sailing and the town looked very busy too.

That is good to hear.

I counted only 31 passengers disembarking from Liverpool on Wednesday at 1pm.

This is another photo of the boat just as it was going out of sight around the headland.

Yes, Hugo great pictures.

Today, around 100 passengers from Liverpool disembarked and 200 from Llandudno boarded. I would estimate around 200 Liverpool passengers stayed aboard for the sail down the strait as far as Menai Bridge.  Apparently Captain Howie's grandparents joined at Llandudno.

Bri - The Wednesday sailing was not from Liverpool.  The Balmoral was returning from a cruise as far as Abergele/Rhyl.  The passengers you saw coming off at 1300 would have joined at Llandudno at 1115 and some who got on at Menai Bridge at 0945.

If anyone is thinking of the Anglesey trip on Tuesday I hear it is being well subscribed so it would be advisable to book on line.

My apologies, Cambrian.

It was an easy mistake to make with the vessel arriving from that direction at lunchtime.

Fab photos Hugo.
Where were you standing to get the great almost overhead shot of the pier in the first photo?

The path in front of the cable car station I'm thinking?   Or Camera Obscura , just a few yards away.
