I joined the Beatles Fan Club in the early sixties.

I saved all the ‘Beatles Monthly’ magazines for many years and then lent them to a cousin who never returned them.

The next time I saw the Number 1 edition of Beatles Monthly was in a section for National Treasures in the British Library down in London.

It was positioned next to the Magna Carta !!

That was the first and last time I lent my cousin anything ever again.

I should think so!  What a place to dump an old magazine!   _))*

Rare Beatles concert poster from North Wales tour put up for auction by folk singer Mary Hopkin
The Fab Four toured North Wales in 1963 as they were on the cusp of super-stardom.

I wonder how much this rare poster of another event a few weeks later is now worth?

A rare Beatles publicity poster ( Above )  from the time the Fab Four came to Llandudno has sold for £28,000 – seven times its estimated value.

The poster, advertising The Beatles concert at The Odeon in Llandudno in 1963, was snapped up by a mystery buyer in San Francisco.  refDP

Mine is rather more reasonable (albeit its a reproduction):

Hi,
Just thought this might be an interesting addition to the thread. This photo was taken when the Beatles appeared at the Odeon, LLandudno. (before Ringo joined)
Can anyone identify all the people in it?

Sorry but I only got Paul and John.

Which ones are George and Pete?

Do you think one of the others might be Billy J Kramer?

Hillwalker,  Ringo joined the band in 1962 and prior to that Pete Best and a succession of others were drummers for the group.  Isn't that Ringo's photo in the top left of the bill board poster.
I can't recognise Ringo in the photo though and can only make out John, Paul and a young George Harrison although there is someone who looks like Billy J Kramer there.

Thanks Hugo
Pete Best was the drummer certainly in 1961, but it appears Ringo was the drummer at the time of the Odeon appearance in '62. and you are correct in identifying Billy J Kramer
I should have done more investigation myself as since my innocent post from a photo from my youth I have found the links below. Amazing that the cast list for the week is so diverse.
Llandudno was buzzing then and a great era to live through. I was going to ask why it cannot stage shows like this now and then realised Access all Erias in Colwyn Bay is doing a good job for today's youngsters.
