Three Towns Forum Members Get Together.
« on: September 27, 2011, 11:37:47 pm »
Dear All,

What seems like a million years ago now, about 10 of us Forum characters got together for a great night of booze and banter.
It was held in The King's Head.

Since then we have dallied with the idea of doing it again... but nothing has transpired.

So, I would like to propose that we do it in tandem with a Xmas night out.  Partners should also be welcomed.

I further propose that we avail ourselves of the rather excellent Xmas buffet menu in the Fat Cat.
I sampled it tonight, and it really is first class. The menu is here.
http://www.fatcatcafebars.co.uk/content/Christmas_Parties_at_Fatcats.aspx

For £7.00 you get lots of choice, but for an extra £3.00, you can add two more items of your choice and it really becomes a feast.
I don't mind acting as 'Social Secretary' for this, as everyone knows where I am... they can pop and see me anytime on the Pier.
To prevent this drifting, I would propose three potential dates... as follows.
Novenber 27th
December 3rd
December 8th.
Perhaps if Dave or Ian could set up a 'poll' we could see which one was most popular... and I could get it booked?

I reckon we could easily double the numbers who turned out last time, and I hope those who came before would agree it was a great night.

Thoughts?

What an excellent suggestion, Fester?

May I also propose an earlier luncheon at the Rest and Be Thankful Café on Thursday, 10 November followed by a private viewing of the Wales Rally GB starting after 2.30pm?

I would much prefer to hand over £20 (or less) to Ian rather than to CCBC.

Excellent idea Mr Man.  I will definitely come.  It was really nice putting faces to names last time.  Looking forward to it  ;D

I can't see the buffet menu  :rage:  only one with fancy stuff at £20 each :o :o  (I'm an egg and chips type  )  Can anyone else see the buffet menu?  I'm up for it if there is simple non meat grub at the right price!

No, I could'nt get the buffet menu either.  The "PDF" was highlighted for the expensive meals but was just shown as normal for the buffet, I imagine that is why we are unable to click on to it
