Will the xmas lights be on if i walk up to the kings head,it will be december 
Yes of course they will (quote from LTC)! Ah but - Oh, hang on a minute, give me a moment, well, I think maybe they will, but then again, maybe they won't, it all depends; on what I haven't a clue, but I do remember we talked about some lights in the Chamber. But then again was that the Chandelier for the Town Clerk's Office? (Must make a mental note to place advert to see if we can get someone to play it during meetings.) Anyway, back to the lights, now where was I, Ah yes, lights. The ones at Mostyn Champneys leading onto Conwy Road are useless - only on for 8 seconds! But thats a bit of a consolation as the Xmas lights haven't even flickered yet. Was it this year we were going to put them up for, or next? I know we did ask for plenty of lead time.
We actually wrote to Santa and asked him when he was going to have Xmas this year but it seems that we have not had a reply, so I suppose this is the reason for the delay. If nothing has happened in the next 4 weeks we will convene a "Special Meeting" of the Decorative Lighting Committee and try to put in some emergency measures. Maybe get the Olympic Torch round the town to add a bit of atmosphere. I suppose we could ask everyone to just bear with us this year and double our effort for the next. Oh gosh! Just remembered there is an election in a few months time so there may not be many of us left! C'est la vie!
