EAGLED-eyed customers spotted the real Alan Bates back in Craig-y-Don - along with a film crew.

The former Llandudno sub-postmaster used to run the Wool Post and the Post Office in Craig-y-Don with his partner Suzanne.

The campaigner was spotted in Coffee V last month. He was seen beavering away on his laptop.

Mr Bates was played by Toby Jones (Empire of Light, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and Detectorists) in ITV's Mr Bates vs The Post Office, which aired in early January.

Coffee V posted on their Facebook: "Lots of excitement at the coffee shop as we had a film crew in with the amazing Alan Bates! His post office may not be in Craig Y Don anymore but this man will always mean so much to so many people in our community and further afield."

Major homes development close to A55 at Conwy coastal town opposed by some residents
Residents' fears for wildlife, traffic, and sewage

Why can't CCBC insist on 100%  affordable housing and for local people?      If the developer thinks that it's not viable to do that then they could always look elsewhere.

Spring Covid booster campaign launched for those eligible for the vaccine across North Wales
Health board looking to give jab to 100,000 vulnerable people across the region

The spring booster will help to protect older people and adults and children with a compromised immune system, from serious illness caused by the virus, the health board said.

Health chiefs have urged everyone eligible for the vaccine, to take up the offer to boost their protection against the virus this spring.

Vaccination teams are prioritising eligible groups in order of clinical need, and have started visiting care homes to vaccinate older adults across the region.

People aged 75 and over will be offered a Covid-19 Spring booster at one of the health board's community vaccination centres during April, May and June.

The first appointments at the community vaccination centres will take place from mid-April onwards. Appointment letters, which include the location, date and time of your vaccination slot, have already been posted to the first people to be invited.

Further rounds of invitations will be issued in priority order over the coming weeks. The health board will write to you when it is your turn. Please be patient ? there is no need to contact the team.

Check your invitation letter carefully because the location of your vaccination appointment may have be different from your previous appointment.

The health board will contact people who are housebound to make arrangements for them to receive their vaccination.

Adults and children aged six months and over who are immunosuppressed will also be offered the Covid-19 Spring booster at one of the health board's vaccination centres.

A BCUHB statement said: "We are especially keen to encourage adults and children with a compromised immune system (as defined by tables 3 and 4 of the Green Book) to come forward to receive the vaccine when invited."

The health board also said its autumn booster campaign ended on March 28. And between September and March, the health board delivered booster vaccines to more than 175,000 people.

Private owners of Royal Mail took on the job including Service obligation which is important Service has been rubbish ever since , we are lucky if we see a postman 3 times a week at most and RM management think all is OK when it is not.
We still have Special Delivery service which is expensive and is daily by 1700 hours due later arrival of ferries and distances which could be up to 2 hours travel once on the island.

Hope yo have all safely survived Storm Kathleen, been a rough weekend up here and storm went on for nearly 2 days.

Isle of Tiree, 18 miles west of us on the Ross of Mull managed to get a ferry on Saturday. Very impressive ship handling and rope handling by the pier staff.

When I was first diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes I immediately gave up eating chocolates and cakes which I loved and found it easier than expected.    We sent off for a few books on eating with Diabetes and one, an American one was rubbish and it went in the bin.  The other was helpful and I'm sure that Katie Caldesi's book would be a good help to anyone who has been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes,

That's how we always used to go up Snowdon.   We knew of a free parking space in Llanberis and caught the bus up to Pen Y Pass using our OAP bus pass.    No cost whatsoever to us and no inconvenience to any residents in the area
