A glass of wine

To my friends who enjoy a glass of wine  and those who don't and are always
seen with a bottle of water in their hand:

As Ben Franklin said:
In wine there is wisdom,
In beer there is freedom,
In water there is bacteria.

In a number of carefully controlled trials,
scientists have demonstrated that if we drink
1 litre of water each day,
at the end of the year we would have absorbed
more than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli, (E. Coli) - bacteria
found in faeces.
In other words, we are consuming 1 kilo of poop annually.

However,
We do NOT run that risk when drinking wine & beer
(or rum, whiskey or other liquor)
because alcohol has to go through a purification process
of boiling, filtering and fermenting.

Remember:
Water = Poop,
Wine = Health
Therefore, it 's better to drink wine and talk stupid,
than to drink water and be full of doggy doos.

There is no need to thank me for this valuable information:
I 'm doing it as a public service

The operators of the new kiosk on Colwyn Bay promenade have been named by Conwy council.

Tracy and Mark Mansfield, who previously ran the bouncy castle concession by Rhos on Sea paddling pool, have successfully secured the concession.
Construction of the kiosk is due to be completed at the end of May and it will open before the summer holidays.

 MR PUTIN TAKES A QUESTION

Vladimir Putin, wanting to get on the good side of voters, goes to visit a university in Moscow to have a chat with the students.

He talks to them about how powerful a nation Russia is and how he wants the best for all the people.

At the end of the talk there is a section for questions. Sasha puts her hand up and says:

"I have two questions.  Why did the Russians take Crimea, and why are we sending troops to the Ukraine ?”

Putin says: "Good questions”.

But just as he is about to answer, the bell goes, and the students go to lunch.

When they come back, they sit back down and there is room for some more questions, another girl, Misha, puts her hand up and says:

"I have four questions”

"My Questions are -

Why did the Russians invade Crimea ?

Why are we sending troops to the Ukraine ?

Why did the lunch bell go 20 minutes early?

And, where is Sasha?"

I walked past the old Llandudno Youth Centre last week and the place is in a mess and the developer doesn't seem to be in much of a hurry to demolish it.   I feel sorry for the residents nearby who will have to put up with this lack of activity for many years to come.
What is it with these people?   They try every trick in the book to get their planning application passed and then they just sit on it and do little or nothing.

Mostyn Estates' other property the former Castle Hotel is just the same and I've not seen any activity on the site recently.   If the developer alleged that it was unstable before what would it be like now after months of neglect and the bad Winter that we've had?
If it has to be demolished then they should be made to do it asap before it becomes even more dangerous and also before the tourist season.

Always wondered why a Forest has to go to school, anyway...

I'd like to know the outcome of that dispute but it's a good job that the dog was restrained.     Seeing the video hasn't improved my views on developers and they are still up there with politicians and bankers in my opinion
I've had encounters with Elwyn in the past, he thinks he's the Equalizer.  ;D

Conwy CBC have had yet another wonderful idea.

The Forest School in the centre of Eirias Park is about to close and much thought has been put into deciding what new use will bring the most benefit to the park.

The decision is in - they are going to convert the building into offices, which then will be leased to the Welsh Ambulance Service.
Hmmm...the very same 'Forest School' that CCBC spent a fortune on and has been barely used?
