I wouldn't sell it - but should get it framed!

I wholeheartedly disagree. Had one the successors of those (1948 Standard 14 - same body, style and side valve engine) and it ticked over like a sewing machine and was brilliantly comfortable and reliable (providing you looked after it). Bought it for £10 from a car sharp in Newport Shropshire in 1964. Set about sanding it down to repaint it but soon discovered the original finish was like black stove enamel.

My first vehicle was a 1936 10 cwt Morris van. Bought, in 1959, for another £10 from a friend Ernie Pierce (stage name Prince Igor - rock group, The Overlanders) who worked in a small garage at the back of the Highbury Ground (then Arsenal). I had no licence then but taught myself to drive around the alleys at the back of Holloway Road. The problem here was that this van had the accelerator pedal in the middle and the brake pedal on the right. Could explain why I'm a danger to road users today!!!! L0L

Ah!  You are entitled to disagree - but mine kept falling apart bearing in mind that it was old when I got it!  And with fuel just increased by a shilling a gallon due to the Suez crisis I was having financial difficulties!

As for the Morris, my Brother had the 8 Tourer with a central clutch pedal and it was on that I learnt to "heel and toe".  Often wish they still arranged the pedals that way!

This was the first car I owned outright, I paid £150.00 for it in 1976. I had to part with it when the subframe went about two years later , I loved that car, can't find the original photo, my daughter borrowed it for an art project for her A levels, here's the finished painting, the one on the right is the correct colour.

Teal Blue--we had the same car in 1965. It cost £1.00 and a halfpenny to fill it with petrol !

A weird accident involving almost all the supercars you can think about happened at Café de Paris in Monaco, with damages rising easily to a six-figure price.

Usually car crashes these days involve average vehicles driven by average people, but what would happen if the incident would take place in the “rich-men paradise” Monaco? Well it will have at least a supercar with sever body damages, you would say. But this is not the case here and in fact no less than six supercars were involved in a weird crash.

The incident near the Café de Paris in Monaco involved a Ferrari F430 (220.000 US dollars), an Aston Martin Rapide (200.000 dollars), a Bentley Azure (360.000 dollars), a Rolls Royce Phantom (290.000 – 430.000 dollars), a Porsche 911 (70.000 dollars) and a Mercedes S-Class (160.000 dollars).

The “spectacle” attracted a large crowd armed with photo cameras and the incident quickly appeared on the internet thanks to Autogespot. One thing is for sure, besides the owners of the supercars, the insurance companies won’t be happy with the crash.

I looked at the photos and couldn't understand how the crash happened. Did a Google and the explanation is:

"...a woman driver caused a £700,000 five-car pile-up as her Bentley  collided with a Mercedes, Ferrari, Porsche and Aston Martin.
Disaster struck as the hapless blonde negotiated the traffic around the Place du Casino in her £250,000 Bentley Azure.
The driver of a white Mercedes S Class worth £75,000 was the first victim as the 2.7-ton Bentley scraped down the side of it before ploughing into a £143,000 black Ferrari F430.

An Aston Martin Rapide worth £150,000 and an £80,000 Porsche 911 also came a cropper. The driver and her two passengers then suffered the embarrassment of being surrounded by tourists as they were unable to open the doors of the convertible.
It is estimated the crash will cost more than £40,000 with the Ferrari, Porsche and Aston Martin requiring new front wings and bumpers. The Bentley will need the same repairs, plus a new door."

Recently the UK Honda S2000 Owners Club had their Annual Meet in North Wales.   Cars included wre mainly from the Uk but with some drivers travelling from Ireland and Holland to enjoy the week-end.  The Satrurday drive took in some of the best driving roads in North Wales and included the EVO Triangle, Bala, Lake Vrnwy and an assortment of other great roads.  One of the lads managed to shoot some video which I have put the link to.  It is 15 minutes long but worth a look by any driving enthusiasts.

It's a KTM X-Bow

The KTM X-Bow (pronounced "crossbow") is an ultra-light sports car for road and race use, produced by Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM. It is the first car in their product range. It was launched at the Geneva Motor Show in 2008.

KTM developed the X-Bow in collaboration with Kiska Design, Audi, and Dallara. The X-Bow uses a four-cylinder 2.0 litre Audi engine that is turbocharged. The 2008 model produces 237 hp (177 kW; 240 PS) at 5500 rpm and 310 newton metres (230 lb·ft) of torque between 2000 and 5500 rpm.[1] and can accelerate from 0-62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.9 seconds. [2] Its top speed is 217 km/h (134.9 mph). In the 2011 X-Bow R model the Audi engine is further tuned to produce 300 hp (224 kW; 304 PS) and 400 newton metres (300 lb·ft) of torque at 3300 rpm[3].

Originally, KTM planned a production of 500 units per year, however, the company increased production to 1,000 cars a year and built a new plant near Graz due to high demand.[4]

Thanks for that SDQ,  I've just been looking at the site for it and it seems a fantastic car.  Couldn't find the price for it but if you have to ask it usually means you can't afford it.
