The Forum Photo Archives
« on: November 17, 2010, 08:52:27 pm »
Just a reminder that there are now 1,000 old photos, postcards, maps, adverts and other bits and pieces dealing with Llandudno, Colwyn Bay & Conwy in the Forum Photo Archive.

You need to be a logged in Member to view them - this link shows you the various folders, so you can select your section of interest:

If you're looking for something in particular, then the Search function is very useful:

I've labelled 90%+ of the images, so you can just do a search on 'Llandudno', 'Colwyn Bay' or 'Conwy' or something like 'Waldini' or 'Mostyn Street'. Try it and see.

After a great deal of work, I have added in another 600 images to the Forum Photo Archives; this time a series of advertisements for Llandudno businesses. Included are adverts for over 400 hotels in the Llandudno area.

If you're looking for a particular business/hotel, then the search facility may save you a lot of time!

There are now over 2,100 items in the Photo Archives and I still have many more to add.

Keep up the good work Dave. I'm loving the old pics of Colwyn Bay.

The Forum Gallery now has over 2,600 items covering the local area in it. It's free to look through, but you have to be a Forum member:

Only by using the Bookmark function on your Browser, just as you would save any webpage for future reference. What I can do is put the links in a post in the 'Three Towns Forum' section so it is always easy to find.

Remember, the Gallery can always be easily accessed from the 'Photo Gallery' link in the main menu at the top of the screen.

I have added in a new section to the Forum Photo Archives, containing some comic postcards:

I've added in a new section to the revamped Photo Library, called 'Gone But Not Forgotten'. There's quite a few photos in there taken by myself in the early 2000s that haven't been seen before, of buildings and places locally that no longer exist. I will keep adding to it as time allows, I still have many thousands of photos on the hard drive to go through.
