I've just read the comments by Yorkie and Fester about the travel superstore. Basically Yorkie was ignored.
This is , or was, unusual. Before the Internet came along I used to use travel agents and I used to absolutely HATE the way as soon as you got in the door to look at brouchers they were there, at your elbow, and wouldn't leave you alone to study anything. Where do you want to go? Don't know. Well this is where you should go. Etc etc
Having spent a lot of my life in retailing I would suggest the staff should acknowledge any customer with a good morning and an offer to assist if required.
By Yorkie experience it looks as if the travel trade has gone from one extreme to another. Mike
