Just seen on an obscure news channel that the farmers will be out with tractors, lorries and slurry wagons ... let's hope the police do not restrict their protest and that the Labour government are really put in their place, and take note of the great harm.they are doing to this country.

Llandudno woman who changed the face of US politics to be honoured in home town
A plaque will be unveiled in memory of Martha Hughes Cannon

A pioneering doctor who became the first female senator in the USA is to be honoured in her native Llandudno. Martha Hughes Cannon emigrated with her family from North Wales to Utah when she was a young child.

Later she played a leading role in the struggle for women's suffrage which was achieved in Utah in 1896. There is already a separate plaque in Llandudno commemorating the role of Llandudno in the suffragette movement

PUBLIC TOILETS on a high street in Llandudno have been closed following acts of vandalism rendering them "unsafe".

The public toilet facilities at Bog Island/North Western Gardens, on Mostyn Street, have shut after undergoing damage.

Toilet pans were pulled off the wall, with water and waste leaking all over floor, toilet roll dispensers have been ripped off the wall, doors have been pulled open breaking the locks, and the coin boxes are no longer working because of items forced into the slots.

Surely, the obvious solution would be to have CCTV covering them?

Speaking of public toilets, ones in most other tourist parts of the UK have a Contactless Payment option to pay by Debit Card as most people don’t carry coins anymore. Why not here?

Lost world of tunnels hidden beneath Llandudno
Amazing images show scale of Llandudno's Ty Gwyn Copper Mine with miles of passageways with some leading out to the seas[/size
GOES offers individuals and groups the chance to delve into Llandudno’s underworld – to see for themselves old brick-lined tunnels and listen out for any Knockers that remain. This month, artifacts recovered by volunteers have been arranged on an underground “shelf of curiosities” so that mine tourists can learn more about Ty Gwyn’s social history.
That should be a nice adventure for anyone in the New Year.       I was once offered a trip into the Penmorfa Adit at the West Shore by the Chairman of GOES but declined his kind offer as I had seen their photos that were taken inside the tunnel!
