 GRAND THEATRE TICKETS, 195811 viewsOne of the two books of tickets saved from a skip outside the Grand Theatre in Llandudno during conversion to a nightclub back in the late 1980s. The tickets are for Friday, July 4th, 1958 and are for the Front Stalls at 6 Shillings each.

UPDATE: Thanks to Geraint Morgan from Llandudno Library, who says that the show that night was "a Dennis Driscoll comedy play called 'Job for the boy', a bit of a North country comedy. Leading parts include Richard Steele, Shelagh Tiffany, Ian Shand and Mark Eden.

 STARTIME FOLLIES OF 1984, PIER PAVILION, LLANDUDNO11 viewsThis poster was for the final season of summer shows at the Pier Pavilion, Llandudno. After 98 years, the theatre closed at the end of the 1984 season due to falling audiences, increased maintenance costs and fire regulations.

 JUST THE TICKET/BOEING BOEING PROGRAMMES, PIER PAVILION, LLANDUDNO21 viewsThe covers of two of the Programmes I rescued from the basement of the derelict Pier Pavilion Theatre in Llandudno several years before it was destroyed by fire in 1994.

Dating back to the late 1960s, the gentleman on the left is Charlie Chester in 'Just The Ticket' (1968), whilst the gentleman on the right is 'Dave King' in 'Boeing Boeing' (1967). Both shows were comedy farces. Chili Bouchier also appeared in both shows.
